Shelter - Harlan Coben I picked this up because I was looking for a fast read. Coben didn't disappoint. There were a couple of things that kept me from rating this higher. First off, I wasn't completely happy with Mickey's voice. He didn't feel like a teen to me. And a plot point that confused me... why is Mickey so anti-Myron? I get it that Myron and Mickey's dad were estranged but I can't believe Mickey's dad (who was off saving the world) would have badmouthed Myron. So aside from the typical sullen teen bit, why is he hating on Myron so much? Okay, so great pacing-that's good, fun characters(I really liked Ema)-also good, lots of coincidence to tie things up-meh.
