The Snake - This book offered exactly what I expected. A black mamba is accidentally set loose in Central park when a sailor returning from Africa gets mugged. sailor is murdered, mugger gets bitten and dies, and the snake slips off into the woods. The hunt is on to find the smnake before more people die.

before snake was killed she was able to lay thirteen eggs. This made me happy although I'm not sure if that was author's intent or if readers were supposed to be scared about possible revenge of the snake
