This book is beautifully written, and the author's ability to unravel a story and bring it all back together in the end was really well done. Still, I was unable to buy many of the characters' motives throughout the story. Why did Marion love Genet ? Why did Shiva betray his brother so effortlessly ? I have a million others but don't want to write any spoilers. The backdrop of Ethiopia during the reign of Haile Selassie and during the coup which ended it was fascinating.
