The 2nd (I think) in a series set in the Wild West in the late 1800s.Story follows two gunmen as they travel around, working in varoius small towns. The two gunmen, Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch, are both talented gunmen who are underestimated by their opponents. I'm not sure why because everyone knows who they are when they get to a new town. Reminds me of Dick Francis heroes, quiet guys who take care of problems their own way in their own time. Good always prevails. I think the Wild West is a good choice for Robert Parker. I never liked the Spencer books, I could never really believe Spencer and Hawk. But put them in the wild west and I think I would buy the whole thing. Parker wrote three of these books.
